How do you improve a slice of Victoria sponge cake? Well, obviously by sticking the word ‘free’ in front of it…
That’s right. Every day this week, to enjoy a totally free slice of Victoria sponge cake, simply pop into the new Bill’s restaurant that’s opened in Cathedral Walk near Victoria station any time between 3pm and 5pm until Friday (28 April).
Get there as soon after 3pm as possible, though. Today was the first day of this offer and apparently, 100+ slices of cake had been snapped up by 4pm. But if you’re quick off the mark, there should also be a free cup of lemonade to wash it down.
Attention! I’ve got some important doughnut news to share with anyone who’s passing through Waterloo tomorrow…
From 7am on Wed 19 April, I’ve heard there’ll be a free pop-up Krispy Kreme slot machine in Waterloo station where you can pick up some tasty prizes.
You might get a free Hershey’s milkshake, or a bar of Hershey’s chocolate (there’s a new Hershey’s doughnut range, can you tell?), or if you’re really lucky, you can also bag a full year’s supply of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. That’s more like it.
However, after Wednesday it’ll be gone forever as the Krispy Kreme slot machine’s on a tour of the UK. So there’s no time to waste if you’re giving this a go.
But if all you really want is a free Krispy Kreme doughnut, head straight toward the company’s Facebook page where you can claim a free doughnut voucher anytime.
